Fisherman's Friend sokeriton Salmiakki-vadelma 24kpl
The story of Fisherman's Friend dates back to 1865, when English pharmacist James Lofthouse developed a menthol and eucalyptus preparation to ease the suffering of local fishermen on their long fishing trips in the North Sea. The conditions on that northern sea were harsh and windy, which caused the fishermen a lot of sore throats and coughs. Originally the product was liquid but for practical reasons it soon took on the familiar lozenge form we know today. These lozenges became very popular with fishermen and they began to call them "Friends". Fisherman's Friend production was very small for a long time and it wasn't until 1975 that the first new flavor was developed. Today, Fisherman's Friend is available in 13 flavors and is sold all over the world.
Did you know that Fisherman's Friend lozenges are sold in over 100 countries worldwide? Although the product was developed in England as early as 1865, the first shipments of lozenges did not leave for the world, Belgium, until 1974. Every year, over 4,000,000,000 Fisherman's Friend lozenges are eaten worldwide. If all the Fisherman's Friend lozenges eaten during the year were lined up, the lozenge ribbon would stretch around the world four times.
